BERLIN A superb free-kick by former Germany midfielder Thomas Haessler 10 minutes from time gave TSV 1860 Munich a 2-2 draw at troubled VFB Stuttgart in the German first division on Friday.
Stuttgart twice took the lead, opening the scoring through Guinean midfielder Pablo Thiam in the 19th minute and going 2-1 up thanks to a deflected kick from Romanian striker Ioan Viorel Ganea in the 71st minute.
But the visitors came back twice, equalizing through Australian striker Paul Agostino in the 64th minute before securing a point courtesy of Haessler's goal.
The "other" Munich club moved one place up to 11th. Stuttgart, who have won only one of their last nine games, gained two spots to 13th but are only two points away from the relegation zone.
